Booking Policy

  • Booking & Identification Policy

  • 1. Bring Valid ID

  • All clients must bring a physical, in-date ID to their appointment. This applies to both minors and adults. We cannot proceed with any piercing or tattoo service without valid ID.

  • If you're unable to upload your ID during booking, please bring it with you in person. Photo IDs alone are not sufficient; we need to see the actual ID.

  • If using a fake ID, we are required to report it to the authorities.

  • Examples of acceptable IDs:

  • For minors (under 18): Passport, birth certificate

  • For adults (18+): Driver’s license, passport, or citizen’s card

  • 2. Minors (Under 18)

  • We can't pierce you while pregnant or under 6 weeks post-partum for your safety.

  • Clients aged 14-17 are considered minors. A parent or legal guardian must be present with their own physical ID, along with the minor’s ID.

  • For piercings on clients under 18, both the minor and guardian's IDs must be provided and attached to the consent form.

  • Note: If you book for a minor and fail to bring ID, you will be charged a cancellation fee.

  • 3. Children in the Studio

  • Non-client children are not permitted in the studio due to safety concerns. If a child not receiving a service is brought to the appointment, the cancellation fee will apply.

  • 4. Emotional Support Person

  • Only 1 emotional support person is allowed per client in Dawn's piercing room due to limited space.

  • 5. Numbing Cream Policy

  • We do not pierce if you arrive with numbing cream. It can interfere with the procedure and is not covered under our insurance.

  • 6. Jewelry Policy

  • We only install jewelry purchased at Coven. If we don’t have what you want in stock, we can custom order it for you.

  • 7. Cancellations & No-Show Policy

  • Piercing appointments:

  • Cancellation fee: Half the service fee, except for consultations or jewelry changes (full price of £10 or £20 for genital consultations).

  • Late arrivals (7 or more minutes) will be charged the cancellation fee.

  • If you no-show or cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you’ll be charged the full service fee. If you reschedule or cancel your rescheduled appointment, you'll be charged the full service fee for the 2 appointment slots used.

  • Failure to pay a cancellation fee means you cannot book with us again until the fee is settled.

  • Tattoo appointments:

  • A deposit is required when booking, which goes towards the total cost of your tattoo and is non-refundable.

  • If you need to reschedule within 4 days of the appointment, you can do so. After this, your deposit is forfeited, and a new deposit is required to rebook.

  • Design approval: Your design will be shown to you on the day of your appointment. If you want to approve it beforehand, you must pay 50% of the total tattoo cost upfront. This is also non-refundable, as it covers the design time.

  • 8. Clothing & Preparation

  • Wear appropriate clothing for your tattoo to avoid stains or discomfort. Avoid tight clothing near the area to prevent rubbing.

  • Please do not arrive early. Arrive at your scheduled time only.

  • 9. Respect & Behavior

  • Please treat staff with respect. Any form of abuse will not be tolerated.

  • We set our prices based on fair compensation for materials and service. Do not haggle the price, but we can work with you to design a tattoo that fits your budget.

  • 10. Health & Safety

  • Do not come intoxicated, hungover, or unwell. You will be asked to reschedule.

  • You cannot be tattooed whilst pregnant and under 6 weeks port-partum. 

  • We recommend bringing sugary snacks and drinks to keep your energy up during your appointment.

  • N.B All of our artists are self employed, please contact your artist directly with any queries.
